Paragon Remote Management 2.0

 

A lack of on-site IT personnel inevitably leads to problems caused by the shortage of resources and knowledge required to adequately manage and back up valuable data. Few companies can afford the potential consequences associated with this operational, legal and compliance risk.

 

Paragon Software recognizes these needs and addresses them with Paragon Remote Management (PRM) 2.0 - a special solution for centralized administration and maintenance of computer parks. This solution remotely assigns various tasks to a single computer (or groups of computers) and verifies that particular tasks have been a success. Choose either a one-time execution, or automatically set operations on a regular basis.

 

 

 

What's New in PRM 2.0

 

• Remote installation/de-installation of clients directly from PRM Console to increase overall usability
• Built-in facilities to create answer files (.mst generator) for remote unattended installation
• New format for PRM Storage to increase the overall efficiency and stability with the option to easily upgrade from the old version
• Paragon Connection Control to effectively manage the load to the PRM Storage server
• Advanced reporting facilities to manually or automatically collect statistics according to a set timetable on every action accomplished on client machines
• Service Live Tracker to automatically recover the PRM Client in case of de-activation

 

Paragon Infrastructure Module

 

Paragon Infrastructure Module includes all the necessary facilities to increase efficiency in managing the complex environments of multiple servers and workstations:

 

• Paragon PXE Server (DHCP and TFTP servers) to remotely boot a PXE compatible computer with no operating system installed. This procedure implies that a networked client PC is able to enter a network, acquire a network address from a DHCP server and subsequently, download from a TFTP server a NBP (Network Bootstrap Program) to set itself up, thus removing the need of bootable media.

 

• Handy tools to build a custom WinPE* or Linux based bootable image to configure the network and mount network shares, set a program script execution, as well as add any required files. This image then can be recorded to a CD/DVD/Blu-ray disc to make client machines boot directly or remotely through the PXE capabilities and carry out operations completely in the unattended mode.
