Known issues
-
First issue (1) relates to Mac® OS X 10.4.6 up to 10.4.10 under Intel-based Macs only. Please note, this issue does not damage the file system and is caused by the Finder application. Issue 1: When trying to create a second folder in the root directory using the Finder application the first folder will take the name of the second one.
Resolution: 1. Unmount and mount the NTFS partition; 2. Update your Mac® OS X up to 10.4.11 or higher.
-
Issue 2: Spotlight crashes while indexing a NTFS volume. Resolution:1. Open the Terminal application;2. Type in the command line: “touch /Volumes// .metadata_never_index” to not index this NTFS volume.
