Express Create Partition Wizard.

By applying a highly intelligent work algorithm, the Express Create Partition Wizard will automatically analyze your disk subsystem to help you create a new partition in the most appropriate place:

To save you from any possible boot problems, the wizard is allowed to create the new partition either as the last primary or as the last logical drive within the extended partition.

Primarily the wizard will attempt to find a place for the new partition on the first hard disk. If failed, it will then start analyzing other hard disks in the system one by one (if any). If still failed, the wizard will finish its work by giving a detailed commentary. So let’s take a closer look at this operation:
- To create a new partition, the wizard either needs a vacant primary slot (so you’ll get a new primary partition) or an existing extended partition (in this case you’ll get a new logical drive). Please note, that according to the DOS partitioning scheme, only 4 primary partitions are available for a hard disk or 3 primary and one extended;
- To create a new partition, the wizard needs the on-disk free space, either unallocated or free space of an existing partition that adjoins the future partition.

If the wizard has found a place for the new partition, it will then offer you to choose whether to create it by using the on-disk unallocated space (if any), or by taking free space of an adjoining partition.

Then the wizard will format the partition to NTFS by using the default format options (cluster size value is 8).

Besides, the wizard will make the partition available in the operating system by assigning to it a drive letter.
