PPR Installer enables to initiate installation of components, register in Paragon’s E-service for support and updates, uninstall all or required infrastructure components, upgrade the product, read the user guide, etc.
PPR Console provides access to entire functionality of PPR. It enables to remotely backup and restore physical and virtual machines, configure storages and backup servers, build recovery media, monitor infrastructure activities, etc.
PPR offers fast and reliable agentless disk-imaging backup or replication of online and offline Windows, Linux or other OS guest machines supported by VMware.
Having a list of all created backups and replicas at hand, Administrator can easily find and initiate an integrity checkup for those he considers critical, or delete those he doesn’t need any more, or initiate restore.
PPR enables to restore separate data stores or storage groups or all groups at once either to the original or some alternative location with the option to create a dialtone database if necessary
PPR offers to get detailed information on all policy launches of the required policy. Here you can see when and with what result (succeeded or failed) each policy launch completed. By clicking on a failed policy launch you can see infrastructure logs generated during this launch.
Reports can be generated on activities of user created policies (backup, restore, storage archiving, etc.) and/or internal system policies (database replication, etc.). Reports can be generated on demand or by schedule (daily, weekly, monthly or for the last 7, 30, 90, 365 days) for succeeded or failed policies or both. In the current version of PPR, reports are only allowed to be emailed.
The problem machine is started up from a special WinPE recovery media. After connection to the infrastructure, Administrator manually specifies the desired machine, volume, and restore point.
