Support Engineer at Enterprise Level (OEM's/VAR/System Builders)
Responsibilities:
- Provide pre- and post sales support for our corporate clients
- Act as a technical consultant for our recovery and deployment software solutions when clients visit
- Recognize and localize the customers' problem and pass it to the development division
- Be capable to detect and localize problems remotely to avoid downtimes
- Report directly to the product management and sales team for all technical issues and the customers status
- Utilize internal testing laboratory to accelerate problem detection and resolution
Experience & Educational Requirements:
- University Degree, Computer Science or IT related subjects preferred
- 2-4 years experience of international customer support (second level)
- Excellent customer skills of technical support and client services
- Fluent in spoken and written German and English, additional European language a plus
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux platforms
- Optional knowledge of data security and storage solutions (i.e. Veritas, Symantec)
- Optional experience in Quality Assurance
- Optional Novell Certified Engineer or MSCE
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Mobility for eventual onsite support

Starting 2004, Paragon Software is offering localized software solutions for the Japanese and Chinese Market. To develop our Asian market we are looking for a
Japanese and Chinese Marketing Assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and translating given website materials into Japanese and Chinese
- Translations of marketing texts to be published in the press
- Co-ordination of large text materials which needs to be translated externally
- Final check of localized products (WISIWYG) according to test plans
You will report directly to the Business Developer responsible for the Asian market.
Education/Required Experience:
- Good IT background, university degree preferred, marketing experience a plus
- Chinese/Japanese native speaker
- Fluent written and spoken English and German
Flexible working hours two or three times a week (at least 20 hours). Some translation jobs can be done at home.
